Gaydio looking for office space in Brighton
26th February 2017
PRESS RELEASE: Gaydio looking for office space in Brighton – to launch new radio station
Gaydio was recently awarded, by Ofcom, an FM licence to broadcast a radio service to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) community in Brighton.
The station is now looking to rent office space in the city centre – and would love to hear from businesses and community groups who would like to share with them or can offer office space for rent that is suitable.
Gaydio currently requires 250-500 square feet with 24-hour disabled access.
Gaydio already serves Brighton on DAB digital radio with a simulcast of its London service. This new licence means that a new independent community interest company will provide a local service specifically for Brighton on the FM waveband.
Gaydio is the only UK radio station specifically aimed at lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people. It is available in a number of cities and reaches over half a million listeners per week, making it one of the largest LGBT media outlets in the country.
In 2017, Gaydio launches a dedicated FM service for Brighton & Hove, based in the city.
