NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN FOR THE GAYDIO PRIDE AWARDS 2025
Nominate now and shine a light on the people, charities, events and organisations that are making a positive difference to the lives of the LGBTQ+ community across the UK
Gaydio has announced that The Gaydio Pride Awards 2025 will take place on Friday 14th March 2025 at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester - with nominations open from today (Friday 29th November).
The 2025 ceremony will once again be dedicated to recognising and celebrating the efforts made to better LGBTQ+ lives in the UK - with a focus on regional and grassroots efforts whilst giving thanks to the unsung champions working tirelessly to create safer, more inclusive spaces and improve lives within the queer community.
This year, 13 categories will be open to nominees across the country, including -
- Venue of the Year - Celebrates inclusive spaces that provide safety and belonging for the queer community.
- Event of the Year - Honouring spectacular events that offer escapism or entertainment for LGBTQ+ people.
- Enterprise Award - Recognising LGBTQ+ businesses and trailblazers fostering inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
- Pride Network of the Year supported by Cadent - Highlighting workplace LGBTQ+ networks driving meaningful initiatives for queer colleagues. Cadent, a leader in energy delivery, empowers diverse communities in and out of the workplace.
- Volunteer of the Year supported by Explore! - Acknowledging volunteers who dedicate their time to delivering positive change for the LGBTQ+ community. Explore! offers global travel adventures designed to build community connections.
- Charity of the Year - Recognising exceptional work by charities bettering LGBTQ+ lives.
- Influencer of the Year supported by Kayak - Given to an LGBTQ+ individual who has used their platform to raise awareness of queer struggles. Kayak revolutionises the travel industry, simplifying access to life-changing experiences worldwide.
- Sports Team of the Year - Celebrating excellence and inclusion by LGBTQ+ sports teams.
- Pride Organisation of the Year - Recognising Pride organisations delivering outstanding events or initiatives.
- Music Artist of the Year supported by Schuh* - Honouring artists driving LGBTQ+ awareness through activism or performances. Schuh, a leading footwear retailer, champions the spirit of individuality and community.
- Outstanding Entertainment Contribution supported by Stanley* - Celebrating public figures highlighting LGBTQ+ causes. Stanley, known for sustainable, reusable products, empowers individuals to live consciously and sustainably.
- Lifetime Achievement supported by Aer Lingus - Honouring lifelong dedication to advancing LGBTQ+ issues. Aer Lingus reflects diversity among its employees and customers, fostering inclusivity as Ireland’s only four-star airline.
Nominations for the nine categories open to the public opened today and will close on Sunday 5th January 2025 - giving people the opportunity to shine a light on the people, charities, events and organisations that are making a positive difference to the lives of the LGBTQ+ community across the UK.
Nominations can be made here. Nominees will then be whittled down to a shortlist and an eventual winner will be chosen by a panel of esteemed community judges.
The annual ceremony, which launched in 2023, honours LGBTQ+ charities, organisations and people across 13 categories. Over the past two years, the glamorous ceremonies have seen performances from Grammy Award nominee Raye; BRIT Award nominees Jazzy, Caity Baser and Talia Mar; alongside Drag Race winner Danny Beard and; global DJ Sigala, with appearances from a host of celeb guests, including Rhian Sugden, Layton Williams, Andy Burnham, Charley Marlowe, Dr Ranj Singh and Ella Morgan.
Amongst the 2024 Winners were; Bristol Pride for Pride Organisation of the Year; LGBT+ Network NHS Blood and Transplant for Pride Network of the Year, Manchester Lesbian Bar for Venue of the Year and Opening Doors, the largest UK charity for LGBTQ+ people over 50, for Charity of Year.

Similar to last year’s event, the glitzy ceremony at the Hilton in Manchester promises to host a hoard of famous faces as guests and performers on the night.
