Yesterday was a pretty easy day, got up and had another FULL Breakfast, which I am going to have to work off when I get back to Manchester!
We recorded some interviews with the people from the hotel company, also from Aer Arran and Manchester Airport, which you can hear on Friday.
After the show, I took Toby to see a bit of the countryside outside Dublin. We drove up the N3 to County Meath and a place called TRIM.
Trim is most famous for the movie Braveheart, it was filmed at Trim Castle. The real reason I drove up there, was to go see my old place of work.
The little town north east of Dublin was the home to Atlantic 252, which was the UKs Number 1 commercial radio station in the late 80s and early 90s.
It is very sad that the gravel car park has now been made tarmac and is a pay and display car park, and my old studios are council offices!
I wiped away my tears and after arriving back in Dublin and got caught in the most horrid rain and hail, we were like drowned rats by the time we got to the restaurant for our tea!
It was a Mongolian Barbeque near Temple Bar, one of those places where you create your own dish and the chef cooks it infront of you. I was good and had 2 trips back to the kitchen, Toby managed THREE!!!!
Then it was back to the hotel to get some stuff ready for Fridays show, whilst watching that programme on BBC1 about Prince Philip at 90. Poor Fiona Bruce looked positively petrified interviewing the Duke. Some of her questions were a bit silly and that didn't go down well with him.
One thing I can say is that even though he is 90, he still has every marble up there!
After that programme, I was happy to see that Mock The Week was back, I switched over only to find that BBC Northern Ireland do their own show at that time AHHHHH!!
The best thing on the TV in Ireland, actually comes from the North. Its a guy called Julian Simmons who introduces the programmes on UTV - have a look at him here - Julian on UTV Brilliant!
Ill be back with more from our final day in Ireland tomorrow!
